holidays..

Soooo...on Thursday my home buddies and Jamie had a "picnic party thing" at the open field near the playground. We used our allowances to pay for the food and everything else we ate.It was actually supposed to be an indoor "music partey" ,but we were unable to book the karaoke room.(long story)Then after we ate the snacks ,Ada ,Seer and I showed the other home buddies how to be wild.We took them to the underground hideout that we hang out and do adventurers things in.This time we walked all around the perimeter of the condominium. It was a great experience for the "new adventurers'' ,but rather familiar for the three of us.After that we hung around at the swinging fitness area and talked about our lives...Soon ,it got pretty late and we had to eat dinner.Actually Jamie wasn't suppose to stay for dinner, but we managed to persuade her Mom to let her. During dinner ,me and Jamie told Ada and my sister how to eat "adventures style".We mixed chocolat with chips and rice.YUCK,I know. Then it was already 9.00 pm, so jamie had to go home. After that Ada and me and Seer went home to bathe and get rest.Amazing day.

What i have been up to during the holidays..

Well today is already Tuesday and i still have not done majority of my homework.Anyway,I found out where that girl who sings near my Dad's bathroom lives, she lives just below my block. She is such a great guitarist and singer, she is just AWESOME.Too bad I don't now who she is...
So on Sunday at around 7.30 pm, Ada ,my sister and me went on a adventure in the deep forest of our condominium.Well,we like to risk our lives by doing unexpected things.Well,it was really dark that midnight,so we headed out to the midst of the condominium to explore the secret passages and all.We climbed in and out with the two large sticks that Ada had piced up earlier. Then i had my knee scratched ,so we headed back to reality, where we sat in the clubhouse and cleaned my wound. After that it was abot 8.10pm, so we had to go home for dinner.Sad right...

Sooooo..tommorow Jessica ,Jamie and me are going to Victoria's house to do our Chinese "Tea chapter" project. But usually we end up playing more than doing the work. Believe me,in Victoria's house it's impossible to focus on work, too many distractions.

Well, tata for now.

I am thanful for....

I am thanful for the food that i can be eating everyday.Usually I'de waste food despite several warnings from my maid and parents.I am always encouraged to eat more.....er...but I only waste because i dont like eating or i am given too much. Can't help it...

I am thanful for the shelter and wonderful awesome home that i am able to0 live in.The great friends I meet, living in a good home, such a privilege.

I am thanful for...the educational chance i have been given by the government. Many children have wanted to go to school and get education ,to get a stable job to feed their families.

Also I am thanful for,the technology that i can use everyday.Without technology ,I would be very bored when I go home.(because reading is not my thing...)

I am thankful for having the greatest people in my life everyday. They make my world shine lie the shining stars in the sy.Without them, there will be nothing to admire in the night sky.

Well, eventually i feel that everyone should be thankful for the privileges that we already have, and not to greed for more.We must know that we are so much more blessed than many other children all over the world.

23/06/09

I think I'de rather not tell you about the rest of the things that happened in Hong Kong because it's just too long and too much to remember ,and I was too tired and worn out to jot stuff down my diary. And in a few days,(too lazy to count ;P) ,it is my best friend's,Kezia's ,Birthday. And she also found out that I had a blog...Which is weird, because she must have a school blog too?! Am i right? And then she put my address on Facebook!!! AAAHHH!!! I know , well, it's not a big deal?Or is it.Well,I'm back in Singapore, and I have not finished almost, all my homework. And,I do not need to write so many blog entries , because I wrote 2 blog entries and put them in 1 blog entry.

Right now,I'm still lying on my bed, lazing around, not doing my homework... But i will, after watching a little more television and finishing up this entry. So,tomorrow,my two good friends, from school, will be coming to my house to the the group assignment that you gave us.Actually,at first,I wanted to do it alone, then I wanted to do it with my other 2 good friends, Jessica and Victoria, but I was in HK wehen they were still in Singapore so ,it was kind off impossible. So ,i figured that I'de just do it with Cheryl and Jamie. Anyways I have to go to do my homework now...Chao Chao

9/6/09

So I'm continueing from where i ended on the previous entry.

On the first day of the Lee/Li (paternal side) tour or trip to China, when i first stepped onto the steps of the tour bus,i was amazed to see that all of the people on the bus were part of my family root. There were about 30+ relatives on board. At first, before i boarded the tour bus,I thought that it would be an ordinary tour, with strangers that I've never met before, and i don't remember my mother telling me that the whole tour was just for the Lee family .Turns out ,that my uncle paid for it all, -the tour bus, tour guide, hotel stuff and the food. And on the bus,i met my twin baby cousins,Tiger and Oba.SOO cute!!!

It was a 3 hour and 45 minute trip to the local restaurant in China to have lunch. We had pork, chicken, fish, veg, fried steamed bun and dessert. The main course was fine ,but the desert was ,kind of gross. Its the famous China desert dish.It contained fried milk with egg white.Sounds gross, tastes gross too.haha...My uncle who paid for lunch bett>.It was the best five star hotel I've ever been to.It is a tropical forest themed hoteer not see this...Anyways,it took few more hours to reach the "fantabulous" hotel, called <<CHIME LONG>> with mummyfied alligators ,like the 60+ years old thailand alligator. And there were mummyfied giraffes, goat and bull heads ontop of the lifts. There were living animals too, like the snow tigers in the "White Tiger restaurant",and there were flamangoes, parrots and geese. And the main lobby of the hotel had a HUGE leopard sculpture/statue.And the hotel rooms were fantastic too!And at night, after dinner,we went to the <>,it was thrilling at exciting, there were flashing spot lights, daring performers and ellagant acrobats,it was the first time I've been to a real circus ,and it was a really great experience!

To bad I only got to stay there for one night as on the following day,the Lee family were going to my grandma's hometown in a wrecked and rundown place in the country side.
There I met my great grand aunt whom is 95 years old now ,and met many more relatives of my dead grandfather's.After that we went to look at the family book at the place where my grandparents got married. Then we had dinner at a grand restaurant with some of the relatives from the country side, after dinner it took about 45 minutes to reach a small local desert shop nearby the other 4 star hotel that we stayed in.We ate various deserts, like sesamee sauce(yuck),hot fried milk with egg white(gross),chocolate milkshake, grass jelly with fresh fruit and the egg thingy...And after that,we went to my grand uncle's 6 leveled house where i got pretty pissed off at my sister.

I think I'll continue the rest of what i did the next day and if you're wondering how i can remember all of this ,it is because of my good memory and well,diary...:)

CHAO CHAO for now :P

9/6/09

Hi again Mrs.Tay,

I'm in HK -(Hong Kong) right now and i'm about to sleep soon.I just came from my others Uncle's new 4 leveled house.Hee has two ADORABLE white doggies, one named Mo_loi,and the other named Xiu baq (in cantonese).I had dinner at his house with my maternal grandma, my parents and two siblings and my uncle himself. And i really love the dogs!Their cute and active and very suited to play with. Its just a pity that i can't see them anymore till I come back to Hong Kong, probably next year. And oh! Today we were supposed to go to the beach, but it was raining so we could'nt go...:( (sad right..) Anyways, there's nothing much to talk about today.S on my next blog entry ,I'de probably tell you about what happened on the trip/tour with almost the whole paternal side of my family.Tata for now.

3/6/09

hey Mrs Tay,

It's the third of June, and tomorrow , its my flight to Hong Kong -my parents hometown.:) And i cannot wait till i board the aeroplane! It has been a long time since I took the aeroplane as my parents have been to busy working to take me out overseas.I just really love taking aeroplanes!!!
I've just came back from Vivo City to but my new slippers to bring to HKand also to watch <>. My luggage is almost full though i have not finished packing yet...And i have to make space for my personal diary which i right into thrice a week.I especially NEED to bring my diary there to jot down the exciting things and activities .
This holiday,it'll be different,as this time my Dad is coming along with the family, instead of my maid. It'll be different without my maid there.(I think...)
We'll be taking the aeroplane to HK and will then proceed from there to China,as my further realtives from the paternal side have been wanting to send my paternal grandmother to China, which is her hometown. But neither of them are able to,or they do not want to,as my grandma is in her older years and is very weak and can barely walk.
On the other hand we'll only be staying there for 2 or 3 days.On the following days,my parents and other relatives will be taking my family and I to Macaw,a place in HK where I have never been to.But we cant spend all of the days there as this time , i will only be in HK for 9 days,as this time its kind of like a vacation, not a trip back to visit my family. We will only be staying there for another 2 or 3 days.
I'm also excited because this time, I get to stay in a hotel, not like the other times when my family and I stayed in my maternal uncle's house...Though i like hotels,I know i will still miss the homely feeling when i stay at my uncle's.Its rather fun because my siblings and I are like monkeys at my uncle's house and are always messing things up.But we can never stay at the paternal side of the family as my fathers side are very neat and strict and they think that my siblings and I are angels...(haha)
Hopefully when i reach overseas,I may post a few photos to share with you guys.

Signing off,
Iris

WORLD HUNGER-

Watching the video on world hunger made a huge impact and changed the way of how I used to look at World Hunger.Seeing the way of how those terribly skinny children crowded all around the man who was carrying -which to us is "garbage",and to them "valuable food", showed how desperate they were.Being one of the many whom waste food very often, really made me think hard, why is it that people like us always take things for granted? Why do most of us disgust seeing the 25,ooo that die everyday? Why are we so heartless to those that feed of our left overs to just survive for a minimum of time? Why are we so selfish? So many are asking and wondering but no one is doing anything about it.Everyone that GOD made should be treated the same way, treated with respect.Everyone of us deserves to survive and live life the way it was meant to be.By just donating a small sum of money to the 25,000,can make a big change in their lives, and save many from sicknesses. We could be heroes to them one day.Why not think about changing their lives instead of spending our money on things that we don't really need.
After watching the video , I had a thought that when i grow up and hopefully become a movie star, donate at least $10,000 to the countries that really need it.I am commited to helping the children and others to live a proper life and maybe one day join UNICEF and be a person wit heart.I really encourage those out there to help and join in the group to stop world hunger.

Hmmm...Let me see,the places i love to be in...I'll just be telling you a few as i have a lot in mind..

Firstly,I love to go down to the playground at my Condominium.I like to go there because over there i can meet a lot of friends of multicultures and races.I can also release my stress and have lots of fun and laughter and forget the unwanted things that happened during day.And I have my 'home besties' , Fatima,Ada ,Aishu,Sitara and baby Nicole and Joseph to make my time even more special.

Secondly,I like to go to Far East plaza or West Coast plaza or IMM or Orchard Road. And as you know its very usual to have a girl who loves to shop so i love to go to these few shopping malls.:)When i shop, i feel like a whole new person.A person that is filthy rich and has nothing better to do than shop. And i always feel 'HIGH' and relaxed in some manner.ME,as a girl, wants to be a fashion icon or fashion designer when i grow up,needs to have my cut in clothing and needs to fit in with the trend.

Thirdly,I have to say that i also love school!:)In school, i have a balanced diet of studies ,fun and friends. As most people say,I'm rather sociable and friendly and a little or very weird, can help me make more friends of different levels and ages .The teachers i have are also fun, kind, friendly and nice whom make learning new things more interesting.Sometimes, studying can be fun...:P But i still think that the friends and bestfriends i make in school are the best and take a special part in my heart and mind...:)

'Creativity is something that is inborn and can never be taught.'

Well, i think that it is not something that is inborn and can never be taught.Creativity comes naturally for some people when born but it can also be taught. Most wise people say that 'Creativity can be taught but it comes more easily for people who were born with creativity.'What creates a great artist like Gentileschi,Van Gogh or Manet, talent or training?
Most artists are both born and taught.I think that is all i can say so far...

26/3/09

Well I think i have alot to write...So,let me start with on Friday,I did not go to the swimming carnival(haha(:),so when i reached home ,after i ate my lunch and watched the television,I took a short rest then i went down to play with''SIFA" which is basicly the name of the ''coolies in the playground of the condo'' which is basicly me,my sister,Ada(my russian BFF) and Fatima(my pakistan friend).Going down to play is my daily routine...:)Then on thursday,i went to the park with my long time friends that i still meet nowadays, usually on Friday because its our playdate which includes my six year old friend Aishu(indian friend),Sitara also six (indian friend),Tim which is six too(russian friend),Leopold turning seven this year(german friend),his brother Anatoll which is turing four,Louise which is turning four too(half chinese and french),her brother Paul(turning eight),Kaijin(six),Nicole(turning two) she's half philipino and british and Ashwin (one and a half),he's Aishu's brother who was born on Christmas!!!:0(i know...)We either go to the park,Leopold's house(which is huge) or just the playground at my condo. We bring food, like chips, pancakes, juice, biscuits and our lunch or dinner if we go to the park or someones house.Usually,if we go to Leopold's house,we will play in the backyard (which is about 500 square metres) hose off. Then we will throw water balloons, use the hose to spray of people who climb on our backs(its pretty violent),Oh and we also have homemade jelly or cake(which is great!!!)While we hose off each other, the maids will talk and eat their home-made filipino food and watch over us at the same time! And well thats all i did for my holiday!!!As you can see Im always covered with friends everywhere, everytime!!!Hope you had fun too!!!

16.2.09

well Mrs Tay,

I have to say that i feel the exact same thing that you feel, leaving out the tired part.Camp was indeed very fun for me from the start to the end!But for some of the pupils they only enjoyed it after the Campfire and then regretted complaining at first.the food was kind of good except for the vegetables and rice...Well i don't think that any of thekids there like vegetables naturally unless your a vegetarian of course.i enjoyed the activities and i never thought that camp would actually allow so much screaming !!!Because you know me,im a person that loves to scream and respond loudly. And the teamwork games are pretty fun you know!oh and i felt rather comfortable during sleeping time, and even befor i slept me and my bestfriend sleeping beside me talked alot.I mean whisper! And the only rushing part is when we have to shower although it was really fun because when i rush with my friends beside me,its more of exciting then rushing!!!And during the campfire which rocks and will rock forever in my life!!!:)There was music and shouting and dancing and cheering!!!and then there wasw this guy sitting infront of me and my crazy bestfriends which hated the songs that they played and that we sang.It was truly hilarious!!!And it was such a pity that forgot to buy a present for my bestfriend who bought muffins for everyone in camp which was a big help to the food. She was announced infront of the whole campfire as the Camp Chief was touched by her parents call and visit to the campsite.Oh and then just to tell you that we children are restless and can torture the teachers and trainers until their voices until it gets hoarse like my voice for the past few days and got hoarse on the very first day of camp because of the shouting and singing in the bus as we went to the campsite. And i think my experience is going to last until it can make a staiway to heaven. And on the last minute when they put out the fire, my hope just went as deep as a bullet shot me...I really wish that camp would last forever and it would have extended into a longer time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs Tay,

what i like to do is to hang out with my friends and take pictures
and make videos with them because friends are the best companions
that you'll ever have and make you forget the bad things that happened
earlier. And what i like to do alone is to go onto youtube on the computer
to check out things and they always have what you need or what to find
out about, sketch things when im really bored , write my diary because thats what i do everyday, watch television to know
the "latest buzz" and its the only thing you need at home to keep you busy and go shopping because i am a true fashioniesta!!!and its always nice to get two wardrobes haha!!!

To Mrs tay ,english teacher of class 5g

I don't really know the answer of your question because im not very stressed so far, but I think I might agree in primary 6 and in the mid year of this year because of the psle. And our also parents push us most hard at this period because they want us to go to a good secondary school.
